I’d like to make a quick comment about my first post, lest anyone thinks I am somehow speaking ill of my former employer. That is most certainly not the case. Was I disappointed and angry about being laid off? Of course. But that doesn’t mean I won’t look back fondly on my year of employment there. I gained valuable experience in my field and sharpened my skills as a writer and marketing professional. I was able to write about topics that actually interested me (not always the case for copywriters) and work for an organization that I cared about and believed in. Best of all, I was part of a team of incredibly talented, vibrant, hard-working and fun-loving people who made even the hardest days worth getting through.

For these things, I am eternally grateful.
